"IN THE NAME OF JESUS"

WHEN YOU PRAY “IN THE NAME OF JESUS”, YOU ARE NOT PRAYING ON YOUR OWN MERIT.

IT’S INTERESTING TO NOTE THAT WHEN YOU PRAY “IN THE NAME OF JESUS”, YOU ARE NOT PRAYING ON YOUR OWN MERIT, BUT ON THE MERIT OF THE FINISHED WORK OF JESUS CHRIST ON THE CROSS.
FASTING TO BE HEARD OR TO PUT WEIGHT ON YOUR PRAYER IS NOT A NEW COVENANT NECESSITY.
THE FINISHED WORK OF JESUS ON THE CROSS CHANGES PRAYER UNDER THE NEW COVENANT BECAUSE BELIEVERS ARE MADE PERFECT FOREVER.
(Hebrews 10:14) “Because by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.”

FURTHERMORE, BECAUSE OF THE OBEDIENCE OF CHRIST, BELIEVERS ARE MADE RIGHTEOUS BEFORE GOD
(Romans 5:19) “For just as through the disobedience of the one man (Adam) the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man (Jesus) the many will be made righteous.”

AND THEREFORE, GOD HEARS THEIR PRAYERS.
(Proverbs 15:29) “The Lord is far from the wicked but he hears the prayer of the righteous.”

GOD IS NOT IMPRESSED WITH YOUR RELIGIOSITY, THE SACRIFICIAL DEATH AND FINISHED WORK OF JESUS CHRIST ON THE CROSS IS WHAT GIVES YOU THE BREAKTHROUGH IN THE HOLY OF HOLIES OR IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD.

PEOPLE THINK THAT GOD MUST BE PERSUADED, WHILE IN FACT, GOD IS MORE THAN WILLING TO FREELY GIVE US ALL THINGS FOR THE SAKE OF HIS SON, JESUS CHRIST.
(Romans 8:32) “He who did not spare his own son, but gave him up for us all--how will he not also, along with him, FREELY give us all things?”

WHAT WE NEED TO PERSUADE IS OUR OWN HEART. REMEMBER, JESUS SAID “YOU OF LITTLE FAITH” NOT “YOU OF LITTLE FASTING” OR “YOU OF LITTLE PRAYER”.

UNDER THE NEW COVENANT WE WHO ARE MADE RIGHTEOUS ARE ADMONISHED TO LIVE BY FAITH,
(Rom. 1:17) “The righteous shall live by faith”

TO FOCUS ON THE PERSON JESUS CHRIST
(Heb. 12:2). “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith”

AND TO FIX OUR MIND ON CHRIST THE APOSTLE AND THE HIGH PRIEST OF OUR CONFESSION!
(Heb. 3:1) “Therefore, holy brothers, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, the apostle and high priest whom we confess.”

(Heb. 11:6) “WITHOUT FAITH it is impossible to please God!”
(2Cor. 5:7) “WE LIVE BY FAITH not by sight!”
(1 Tim 6:12) “FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT of the faith.”
(Matt 9:29b) “ACCORDING TO YOUR FAITH will it be done to you.”

WHEN YOU DECLARE BY FAITH BASED ON THE WORD OF GOD AND YOU KNOW YOUR RIGHTS AND YOUR PRIVILEGES BECAUSE OF WHAT CHRIST HAS ACCOMPLISHED FOR YOU, YOUR PRAYER BECOMES A POWERFUL ONE!

DO NOT NEGATE THE FINISHED WORK OF JESUS CHRIST!
LIVE YOUR LIFE FULLY RESTED IN CHRIST AND HIS FINISHED WORK ON THE CROSS!
