Christmas Is Not Complete Without The Cross!

IT’S INTERESTING TO NOTE THAT CHRISTMAS IS NOT COMPLETE WITHOUT THE CROSS!

FROM THE MANGER TO THE CROSS, FROM THE CROSS TO THE GRAVE, FROM THE GRAVE TO THE THRONE; CHRIST WAS BORN TO DIE FOR OUR SINS.

“But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of
 sons” (Gal. 4:4-5).

THE GOD SENT HIS SON TO FULFILL THE RIGHTEOUS REQUIREMENTS OF THE LAW ON OUR BEHALF.
“For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in sinful man, in order that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us” (Romans 8:3-4).

BECAUSE OF CHRIST’S PERFECT LIFE AND HIS SACRIFICIAL DEATH ON THE CROSS, GOD FORGAVE US ALL OUR SINS AND CANCELED THE LAW THAT STOOD OPPOSED TO US AND NAILED IT ON THE CROSS WITH CHRIST.
“He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross”
(Col. 2:14).
THEREFORE, IN CHRIST, WE ARE FREE FROM THE LAW AND FROM THE POWER OF SIN. “When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness. What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death! But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life” (Rom. 6:20-22).

THE BIBLE SAYS, “The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law”
THE LAW IS THE POWER OF SIN THAT IS WHY IT HAS TO BE REMOVED. IMMEDIATELY AFTER CHRIST FULFILLED THE LAW FOR US AND PAID ALL OUR SINS ON THE CROSS, GOD CANCELED IT. HALLELUJAH!

THE QUESTION WILL ALWAYS BE; ARE WE NOW FREE TO COMMIT SIN? BY NO MEANS! BELIEVING THE “DOCTRINE OF GOD’S GRACE” SETS US FREE FROM SIN AND MAKES US SLAVES TO RIGHTEOUSNESS!
“But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you wholeheartedly obeyed the form of doctrine to which you were entrusted. You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.”
FURTHERMORE, GRACE IS A GOOD TEACHER!
“The grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope--the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ” (Titus 2:12).

GRACE TEACHES US TO SAY "NO" TO UNGODLINESS AND WORLDLY PASSIONS, AND TO LIVE SELF-CONTROLLED, UPRIGHT AND GODLY LIVES IN THIS PRESENT AGE!
