STOP BARKING UP THE WRONG TREE!

IT'S NOT ABOUT YOU, BUT ABOUT HIM (JESUS)

It's not about you, but about Him!

(Heb. 12:2). “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith”

(Heb 3:1b) “Fix your thoughts on Jesus, the apostle and high priest whom we confess.”

(Rom 14:8) If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.

It’s not about your worship, but about Him who must be worship.

(Rev 5:13) Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, singing: "To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!"

(Rev 5:14) The four living creatures said, "Amen," and the elders fell down and worshiped.

It’s not about your praise, but about Him who deserves your praise.

(Psa 145:3) Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom.

(Rev 5:11) Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. (Rev 5:12) In a loud voice they sang: "Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!"

It’s not about your work, but about Him who finished the work on your behalf.

(Rom 8:3) “For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in sinful man, in order that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us”

At the cross, Jesus settled all the claims of the holy Law and shouted, “It is finished!”

(John 19:30) When he had received the drink, Jesus said, "It is finished." With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

(Rom. 3:25) “God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice”

(2Cor 5:21) God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

It’s not about your church, but about Him who owns the church.

(Matt 16:15-18) “He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" Simon Peter answered and said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God…………………on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.

It’s not about how long you read, but about Him who is the subject of your reading.

(Heb 1:1-2) In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe.

(Luke 24:27) “And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself.”

It’s not about your prayer, but about him to whom you pray.

  (John 16:23b) “I tell you the truth, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.”

(John 14:13-14) And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.

When you pray in the name of Jesus, you are not praying on your own merit, but on the merit of the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. Christ took your place in judgment for every sin that you think will disqualify you from coming before God at his throne of grace.

(Heb 10:14) “Because by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being sanctified”

It’s not about your faith, but him who is the object of your faith! (Rom 10:17) “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of Christ (Word of God.)
