IT’S NOT ABOUT US BUT ABOUT GOD’S ONLY BEGOTTEN SON!LET’S STOP THE “I HAVE TO” OR THE “WE NEED TO” MENTALITY IN THE CHURCH OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST! REMEMBER THE CHURCH IN OWNED BY THE LORD AND ITS FUTURE HAS ALREADY BEEN DECIDED.
(Matt 16:18b) “And upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”IN ANY ENDEAVOR THAT WE ARE ENGAGED IN, WHETHER IN THE CHURCH OR PERSONAL, WE ARE ASKED TO DO IT BY FAITH; AS CHRIST BEING THE OBJECT OF OUR FAITH.
(Heb 12:2) “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.”
GOD ANSWERS OUR PRAYERS FOR CHRIST’S SAKE!
HE BLESSES THE CHURCH TO GIVE GLORY AND HONOR TO HIS SON.
GOD BLESSES THE CHURCH ON THE MERIT OF WHAT CHRIST HAS ACCOMPLISHED ON THE CROSS.
WE NEED TO PUT EVERYTHING IN ITS PROPER PERSPECTIVE; THE CHURCH BELONGS TO CHRIST AND HE WAS THE ONE WHO REDEEMED IT.
YOU DO NOT WORSHIP GOD FOR YOU TO RECEIVE; YOU WORSHIP HIM BECAUSE HE IS GOD AND HE DESERVES OUR WORSHIP. WORSHIP IS NOT ABOUT YOU, BUT ABOUT HIM!
PRAISE AND THANKSGIVING ON THE OTHER HAND IS OUR SPONTANEOUS RESPONSE FOR WHAT HE HAS DONE FOR US.
FAITH IN CHRIST IS GOD’S WAY FOR YOU TO RECEIVE!
IN ONE OCCASION WITH HIS DISCIPLES, CHRIST SAID, “YOU OF LITTLE FAITH!”
(Matt 8:26) “He replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.”
NOTICE THAT CHRIST DID NOT SAY, “YOU OF LITTLE FASTING” OR “YOU OF LITTLE PRAYER”, OR YOU OF LITTLE BIBLE READING” BUT INSTEAD HE SAID, “YOU OF LITTLE FAITH!”
AGAIN, IN ANOTHER OCCASION THE LORD ASKED THEM, “WHERE IS YOUR FAITH?”
(Luke 8:24-25) “The disciples went and woke him, saying, "Master, Master, we're going to drown!" He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm. "Where is your faith?" he asked his disciples.”
WE AS PEOPLE OF THE NEW COVENANT, WE ARE REMINDED TO:
(2Cor. 5:7) “We live by faith not by sight!”
(1 Tim 6:12) “Fight the good fight of the faith.”
(Gal 3:11b) “The righteous will live by faith.”
(Matt 9:29b) “According to your faith will it be done to you.
(Heb. 11:6) “Without faith it is impossible to please God!”
SOME CHRISTIANS HAD THE WRONG NOTION THAT GOD MUST STILL BE PERSUADED UNDER THE NEW COVENANT AND SO THEY TRY TO IMPRESS HIM WITH THEIR RELIGIOSITY. THEY DO NOT REALIZE THAT GOD IS MORE THAN WILLING TO FREELY GIVE US ALL THINGS FOR THE SAKE OF HIS SON, JESUS CHRIST.
(Romans 8:32) “He who did not spare his own son, but gave him up for us all--how will he not also, along with him, FREELY give us all things?”
IT IS NOT ABOUT US, BUT ABOUT GOD’S ONLY BEGOTTEN SON WHO HAS ACCOMPLISHED EVERYTHING ON OUR BEHALF!
(Rom 8:3-4) “For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in sinful man, in order that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us”
IT’S TIME FOR US TO WAKE UP FROM OUR SLUMBER!
GOD IS NOT IMPRESSED WITH OUR RELIGIOSITY.
IT IS THE SACRIFICIAL DEATH OF JESUS CHRIST AND HIS FINISHED WORK ON THE CROSS THAT GIVES US THE BREAKTHROUGH IN THE HOLY OF HOLIES!
WE ARE ASKED TO FOCUS ON THE PERSON OF JESUS CHRIST!

AND TO FIX OUR MIND ON CHRIST THE APOSTLE AND THE HIGH PRIEST OF OUR CONFESSION!
(Heb. 3:1) “Therefore, holy brothers, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, the apostle and high priest whom we confess.”
