Died to Sin

"The law was brought in so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more,
-Romans 5:20 (NIV)
What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase?  By NO MEANS! We are those who have DIED TO SIN; how can we live in it any longer?

-Romans 6:1-2 (NIV)
The death he died, he DIED TO SIN once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.
-Romans 6:10 (NIV)
Jesus also DIED TO SIN...but He never committed any sin
It was our sin that has been imputed to Him.
the word SIN here is a NOUN and not a VERB (action word)
After we accepted Jesus in our life did we never sinned anymore?
-The answer would be a big NO!

"Nor can the gift of God be compared with the result of one man’s sin: The judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification."
-Romans 5:16 (NIV).
Take note: "sin brought condemnation"
Look: the GIFT followed many trespasses - we have received the gift already but still it followed many sins yet still BROUGHT JUSTIFICATION!
We are still JUSTIFIED because of the GIFT we have received.
That is GRACE! Unmerited FAVOR, we don't deserved, we can NEVER BE EARN or WORK for.
If not because of the gift of GRACE, where will we be?
GRACE does not promote disobedience but Grace made us....
SLAVES TO RIGHTEOUSNESS!

What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means! Don't you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance. You have been SET FREE FROM SIN and have become SLAVES TO RIGHTEOUSNESS"
- Romans 6:15-18

Remember we are BLESSED FIRST that is why we obey and not the other way around that says obedience brings blessings.
IT'S ALL ABOUT JESUS! Not even a single from us. That is why we always shout "TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY!!!"
