SIN IS STRENGTHENED WHEN MORE LAW IS PREACHED;
TRUE HOLINESS COMES FROM GRACE!
IT’S INTERESTING TO NOTE THAT SIN IS STRENGTHENED WHEN MORE LAW IS PREACHED.

“The sting of death is sin, and the power (dunamis) of sin is the law” (1 Cor. 15:56).
PREACHING THE LAW IS MINISTRY OF DEATH AND MINISTRY OF CONDEMNATION!
“But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory” (2Cor 3:7-9).
PASTORS ARE CALLED TO BE MINISTERS OF THE NEW COVENANT AND NOT OF THE OLD COVENANT OF THE LAW THAT KILLS.
“Our competence comes from God. He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant--not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life”
FURTHERMORE, WHATEVER THE LAW SAYS, IT SAYS TO THOSE WHO ARE UNDER THE LAW.
“Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God” (Rom.3:19).
IN CHRIST, WE ARE NO LONGER UNDER LAW BUT UNDER GRACE.
IN CHRIST, WE ARE NO LONGER UNDER LAW BUT UNDER GRACE.
“For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace. What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means” (Rom 6:14-15)!
UNDER THE NEW COVENANT, OBEDIENCE TO THE DOCTRINE OF HIS GRACE (THE GOSPEL OF GOD’S GRACE) IS WHAT WE ARE ADMONISHED TO DO. IT SETS YOU FREE FROM SIN AND MAKES YOU SLAVE TO RIGHTEOUSNESS.

“But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you wholeheartedly obeyed the form of doctrine to which you were entrusted. You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness………..But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life” ”
(Rom. 6:17-18, 22).
TRUE HOLINESS COMES FROM GRACE!
MANY HAVE THE WRONG NOTION OF EQUATING OBEDIENCE TO THE LAW AS FAITH; THE LAW IS NOT BASED ON FAITH.
MANY HAVE THE WRONG NOTION OF EQUATING OBEDIENCE TO THE LAW AS FAITH; THE LAW IS NOT BASED ON FAITH.
“The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, ‘The man who does these things will live by them’” (Gal. 3:12).
LAW ACTIVATES FLESH!
“But sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment produced in me every kind of covetous desire” (Romans 7:8b).
THE LAW WAS ADDED SO THAT SIN MIGHT INCREASE.
“The law was added so that the trespass might increase” (Romans 5:20).
RELYING ON THE LAW WILL ALIENATE YOU FROM GOD’S GRACE.
“You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace” (Gal. 5:4).
GRACE IS THE ONLY ANTIDOTE TO SIN.
